Microburst
Microburst is a type of wind shear that mostly arises during strong thunderstorms but is actually very rare to observe.
Falling moisture (rain) together drags a large amount of air towards the ground and creates downdraft.
The presence of microbursts is hard to identify, the only clue is the large amount of rain and dust circles created on the ground.
It lasts for up to 15 minutes and creates a headwind of 30 to 90 knots! This causes seriously degraded performance where wind direction constantly changes. This powerful mass of air violently pushes the aircraft toward the ground.
Microburst je druh střihu větru, ten většinou vzniká během silných bouřek, ale pozorovat jde velmi zřídka.
Klesající vlhkost (déšť) společně táhne velké množství vzduchu směrem k zemi a vytváří sestupný proud.
Přítomnost microburstu je těžké identifikovat, jediným vodítkem je velké množství deště a prachový kruh vytvořený na zemi.
Trvá až 15 minut a vytváří protivítr o síle 30 až 90 uzlů! To způsobuje vážné zhoršení výkonu, kdy se směr větru neustále mění. Tato mohutná masa vzduchu prudce tlačí letadlo k zemi.
